In the Shadows

Half our lives are lived in shadows of one sort or another...and that's the honest half. The unshadowed half is lived behind the masks of polite society. In the shadows, we're free to do those things we can't or won't do in the light. Because we keep those things safely tucked in the shadows, they tend to take on exaggerated proportions. The shadows of things are usually larger than the things themselves.
