Hushed

The deceptive tranquility of an algae-covered pond. Beneath the surface a pond swarms with activity, with life. Scavenging turtles, ever-hungry fish, the voracious larvae of dragonflies and bacteria too numerous to even consider counting. And all that submarine life needs something on which to feed.

Below the hushed, calm layer of green scum, pond water is cool. A body cools in water at about twice the rate it does in the air. A naked body sinks slowly, slowly, because there is little difference between the specific gravity of a body...which is mostly water...and the water itself.

Not that you have a reason to know this.
